MY NEED.

Have you ever felt down-hearted,

Tired, depressed, and worn-out too?

Just a tiny bit impatient

Perhaps a little ‘blue’.

The jobs seem never-ending

And the pot roast burned quite black.

You’ve been bending o’er the washing,

Till the pain shot up your back.

Then its time to sit down somewhere

In a quiet little place.

Tell the Saviour all your troubles

Ask Him for His strength and grace.

And as often as you do this

You most surely will receive

Grace sufficient for each trial

Given to them who will believe.

But the very best idea

I have found within my life

Is to live in Jesus’ Presence

Then there will not come that strife.

He has promised to be with us

And to help in every care,

So, before you get too care-worn

Spend some time with God in prayer.
