My 90 th celebration was planned at   Cil/Pete’s home at Aberfoyle Park.

Sitting around with finger dips- Realisation dawned. These are our   children on the Australian side.   Ruth in Texas often on our hearts. She rang- delightful   talk. Judith and Cil connected with her.   Relaxed. Fun   recalling many holidays especially at Port Elliot. Learning to bodysurf. I remember Miriam expressly swishing past- I stepped aside .   Cil walked out deep, not realizing the shallow waters deepened.   Lis recalled our leaving a tent on the beach, recovering it much later. We recalled Miriam diving from spring board at Bright.   I caught her.  Awakened memories with family alongside.   A great occasion

Dinner prepared by Norman, preceded by a visit to Central market for essentials. .   Sumptuous, delicious meal with beloved family. Peter videoed occasion. Tess professional support.

Told story of Mother and children’s prayer support and rallying encouragement when hospital urgently needed chloromycetin for typhoid sufferers.   countless lives spared, including our 3 children. I expressed my indebtedness to Mother and each of our children. Their telling prayer was a turning point in our stay in java. And abounding provision subsequently for medicine in   RSUW. .

Other humorous responses during Judith-prepared questionnaire. Our grandchildren knew little of detail of my life.   Ingenious.   I am humbled as I contemplate lives touched for God.

Regaled with fun, good-natured banter.   Surprised,   delighted.   I prayed expressing gratitude to God and to a distinguished family. Surprises.   Wholesome fun, true hilarity.

Called to the front by Brian Keane, who has become   a dear friend ‘You always encourage me’ He questioned me, .How long have you been a father?    I calculated that Ruth was born in 43   - therefore 64 years. My comment ‘4 to the third power‘,   unintentional humour.  ‘What advice would you give parents.’   ‘Memorizing word of God with children as most valued inheritance. Mother preserved this nightly procedure, when I was delayed consulting. ‘

Many from EBC lovingly greeted us .   Delighted to see our children and Tess. Herb /Margaret Meinel,   Alan/Lorraine Bailey,   Peter/Kerry Knapp. Jean Sampson- regular prayer for our dear ones.  Beautiful cards;  E-mail greetings, overseas calls have humbled me.  John stayed at Bob /Wendy Cram‘s home- uncle aunt to Barry Lambert, Brazil. Dropped in often,   Judith stayed with Miriam/Peter and then with Cil/Pete.

We took John/Judith to airport    Such love lavished on us- much encouragement- many embraces. Days memorable- releasing memories of former years.

You showed such consideration to   Mother with her diminished concentration- and resulting   fatigue .   She retired early.   10 hours sleep for successive nights. She has recovered. .

Thank you for the loving provision of a television for Mother, who spends many hours resting in sitting room- and for an MP 3 for recording the   Lord’s day   studies- and any outside, which will be part of our inheritance. Father’s day, and wedding celebrations for John/Sandi, Peter/Miriam.  

On 16 th,   I present the study-Dr Ted Gibson’s favorite- checed- loving-kindness of God, mercy, pity, covenant love.   480 references in scripture, but it occurs in each of 26 verses in Psalm 136.   WE have been sustained through these decades by His CHECED.   Puji Tuhan!.   We saw again the beauty and strength of a family knit together by the love of our dear Lord. Thank you for days which we cherish. Our memory bank overflows.
