GOD CREATED MAN IN HIS OWN IMAGE.MALE AND FEMALE .Genesis 1.

Unprecedented, same-sex marriages are potential, election issues in forthcoming campaigns in our beloved Australia and in  USA.  Hence the urgent, factual support for one man-one woman marriage for life- as ordained by the eternal GOD.

I have presented:GOD’S CREATION OF MAN AND WOMAN,

                              HUMAN EMBRYOLOGY. MALE AND FEMALE.

EVIDENCE OF THE BONES OF THE PELVIS

THE BIBLE DISTINCTIVES OF MALE AND FEMALE

PREGNANCY IS THE DOMAIN OF WOMANHOOD.

                                            THE DECISIVE FUNCTIONS OF WOMANHOOD

                                                 THE DETERMINED FUNCTIONS OF MANHOOD.

                                                     WHAT WE MUST URGENTLY DO.

Therefore, we must explore the foundational, authoritative Word of God and the undeniable findings of Embryology. The Bible records God’s noble creation and magnificent design of man and woman. The embryological, intricate, purposeful unfolding of cell differentiation reveals the Creator’s inbuilt pattern.

In every generation, babes follow the unfolding model which our God initiated in the beginning.  I have treasured memories of seven generations of godly women in our family. The youngest are  still children. The blue-print of Creation  harmonises with the microscopic development of the unborn child, male and female , showing God’s perfect intention.  Future, electronic, microscopic advances may reveal earlier changes than  presently perceived.

Then the Triune God said, ‘ Let Us make man in our own image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea; over the birds of the air; and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing.’ (1:26)  ‘In the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.’ God’s clear intention was to create two vastly dissimilar beings to fulfil His holy purpose. After 62 years with a beautiful, noble woman, my wife, friend  and lover, I  marvel that the Lord schemed the creation of womanhood alongside of and supportive of man.

Zodhiates writes of the Hebrew ‘Bara’; to create, produce, to engrave, to carve.  Bara emphasises the initiation of the object, not manipulating it after original creation . It refers only to an activity performed by God.  The word ‘bara’ also possesses the meaning of ‘bringing into existence‘.  There is every reason to believe that ‘bara’ was ex nihilo.’( Lexical Aids to the Old Testament.)

Zodhiates, eminent Greek authority, describes the Greek word ‘ginoma’; to become; to form; to be made or formed; or create from nothing ( ex nihilo ); to occur,

to come to pass; to be or to become ; to be done; performed; to be fulfilled; accomplished. (Lexical aids to New Testament.)

Both Hebrew and Greek express the creation concept of ‘ex nihilo’-out of nothing.

In dignified language, Scripture tells us ‘that God blessed them.’ His  unchanging nature ensures that every generation of godly men and women will inherit this vital legacy. It concerns our grandson, planning to marry a beautiful Christian girl.

‘He commanded them ,’ Be fruitful and multiply: fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over it.’  God sanctioned sexual relationship with the first man and woman to multiply this marvellous human family, which HE had envisaged. (1:28)

Godly men and women shudder at the unnatural, same-sex associations, which vastly contrast with holy male and female union. This sinful lifestyle degrades mankind;  grieves and insults our Creator.

Chemical differentiation  separated the sexes at creation. Man was made from the dust  of the ground, in the realm of  inorganic chemistry.  God breathed on him and He became a living soul. While the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam,  he slept; and HE took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into woman and He brought her to the man.  God performed thoracic surgery under anaesthesia; and subsequently arranged the first marriage.

Adam excitingly cried,’ This is now bone of my bone. And flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was take out of Man.  They shall become one flesh.

( Genesis 2:21-23)

While Adam had a metallic-sourced structure from the elements of the rocky soil; (which may explain some of man’s rugged achievements ) ;Eve was created from  living tissue: the rib has nervous tissue, funding woman’s ultra-sensitive nature.

It has good blood supply, for the life of the flesh is in the blood.  It’s bone marrow  reproduces and replenishes blood cells.  It has an excellent blend of bone and cartilage.  The elasticity of the rib contributes to woman’s extraordinary adaptability-in life and home. . Man and woman are poles apart from creation.

Organic and inorganic chemistry are two separate disciplines in University life.

EMBRYOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT.

I gratefully acknowledge the authoritative work ‘THE DEVELOPING HUMAN by MOORE and PERSAUD, from which I quote freely and gratefully.

‘As early as the fourth week, large primitive sex cells are visible in the yolk sac.

During the sixth week these germ cells are incorporated in the primary sex cords.’

God designed our sex, ordaining changes, which occur early in development.

'Chromosomal and genetic sex is established at fertilisation, depending on whether a X-bearing sperm or Y-bearing sperm fertilises the X-bearing ovum. The type of gonads (undifferentiated germ-glands ) is determined by the sex chromosome complex (XX or XY ).  The gonads appear identical by the seventh week. In the Y chromosome, a testis-determining-factor determines the sex of the developing life.

Two  XX chromosomes are required for the development of the female type. Testicular development produces the seminiferous tubules from the testis-determining-factor,

When a Y chromosome is absent, ( that is an  XX chromosome ) this results in the formation of an ovary. The foetal testes produce testosterone , a hormone, which determines the maleness of the child. Contrast this with the female development, which  does not depend on hormones.'  God  established marked variation in the early development of male and female foetuses.

'Seminiferous cords develop into seminiferous tubules, tubuli recti and rete testis.

By the eighth week, seminiferous tubules form interstitial cells, which begin to secrete hormones., which affect the external genitalia. The male hormone, testosterone, is stimulated by another which peaks about the 8-12 week period.' The Designer unfolds His amazingly, complex blue print to ensure the masculine development proceeds.   No room is left for casual changes. God gave us sex.

'The seminiferous tubules remain solid until puberty, ( time when procreation may occur), at which time lumen (or openings ) develop.  The walls of these cells have two kinds of cells: Sertoli or supporting cells; and spermatogonia ( sperm cells ) '.

In healthy adult life the emission of semen releases 200-500 million sperm cells.  Most cells are perfectly formed and able to fertilise the ovum ( or egg cell ), though only one is needed.  With normal sexual relations within marriage 2 or 3 times weekly, the production annually is 20-50 billion cells. Multiply that by the years of sexual activity. Man cannot fashion one perfect sperm cell, ( not one ) while our big-hearted Creator is super-abundant. Every husband should thank God for this ingenious, creative magnificence.

'The gonadal ( germ cell ) development occurs slowly in the female embryo, with the XX chromosomes bearing genes for ovarian development. The ovary is identifiable at the tenth week. At 16 weeks, isolated cell clusters appear.  Active mitosis ( cell division ) of oogonia produces thousands of primordial follicles .  At birth, two million have enlarged, becoming primary oocytes.' These will be the ova ( egg cells ) one of which is released during each menstrual period during a woman’s fertile years,  forty or less.

The mystery of the descent of the testes and the ovaries shows remarkable intelligence.' The ovaries have descended lying close to the fimbriae of the uterine tube to receive the fertilised cell.'  They enjoy the security of normal body temperature of 37o Centigrade ( 98.4o Fahrenheit ).  However, the testes descended , nestling in the scrotum apart from the body where the temperature is 35o Centigrade.   If the temperature of the scrotum exceeded this, the male would be unable to conceive, illustrating perfect, not fortuitous, design.   Otherwise the Lord could not have said,  ‘Be fruitful and multiply.’ He is worthy of our praise.

The contrast of embryonic urogenital structures and their derivatives reveal the unbridgeable chasm between the two sexes.

'The indifferent gonad becomes the testis with seminiferous tubules and rete testis,

In the female, it becomes the ovary, with ovarian follicles and rete ovarii.

The gubernaculum testis is produced, while the same structure produces the ovarian ligament and round ligament of the uterus.

The mesonephric duct produces the duct of the epididymis, appendix of epididymis, ureter, pelvis, calices, and collecting tubules: ejaculatory duct and seminal vesicle.

In the female, it produces the duct of Gartner, ureter, pelvis calices, and collecting tubules.

In the male, the Paramesonephric duct produces the appendix of the testis.

Whereas in the female , the uterine tube and uterus are produced.

The urogenital sinus produces the urinary bladder, urethra, prostatic utricle, prostate gland in the male.

In the female, it produces the urinary bladder, urethra, vagina, paraurethral glands.

The sinus tubercle produces the male seminal colliculus; and in the female the hymen.

The phallus produces the penis, with glans penis, corpora cavernosa, and corpus spongiosa,  The Creator differentiated in these two developments.

In contrast the phallus produces in the female the ########, with glans ,corpora

cavernosa and bulb of the vestibule.

Urogenital folds produce in the male the ventral aspect of the penis; while in a female the Labia Minora.

The labioscrotal swellings produce the male scrotum and female Labia Majora.

The external genitalia are not fully differentiated until the twelfth week.

Ultrasonography is reliable for differentiation of the sex of the developing child only after the testes have descended into the scrotum, approximately about the 28th week. '

God prescribed the profound, formative differences, facilitating the exceptional attraction of husband and wife.

SEXUAL CHARACTERISTICS ARE MORE PRONOUNCED IN THE BONES OF THE PELVIS THAN IN ANY OTHER BONES IN THE BODY.’   Gray’s anatomy.

The female pelvis is especially adapted to facilitate the passage of the foetal head during parturition ( childbirth ).  It must, therefore provide more accommodation than is available in the male pelvis. The male is a long section of a short cone; while the female is a short section of a long cone.

The bones of the female pelvis are more delicate and their muscular attachments less marked. The prominence of the hips in the female pelvis is attributed to the sexual characteristics of the pelvis.  The inlet of the true pelvis is larger in the female and  is more nearly circular.  While in the male it is typically heart-shaped. ‘

The characteristic differences between the male and female pelves are distinctly indicated as early as the fourth month of intrauterine life.

THE BIBLE DISTINGUISHES THE SEXES..

God assigned gender - not man.  We acknowledge every process of the developing life as perfect.  Male and female - God ordained them.

The Lord Jesus confirmed that ‘He who made them at the beginning made them make and female. He said, ‘ For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and b e joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So, then, they are no longer two but one flesh.  Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man separate.’ ( Matthew 19:4-6)

God established the rights of husband and wife within marriage. ‘Each man to have his own wife; and each woman to have her own husband. ( 1 Corinth 7:2-5). ‘Each is to render affection to the other.’ He confirmed  that ‘The wife has authority over her husband’s body; while he has authority over her’s.  While husband and wife  differ, ‘They must not deprive each other of sexual fulfilment except with consent for a time.’ (v5)  Though husband and wife markedly vary in structure and function, the Lord designed marriage for mutual contentment.

God has given man the responsibility of providing for, protecting, nurturing, and loving the wife at his side.  ’God ordained Man to be the head of the woman’.

‘Husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it.’ (Ephesians 5:25)  The Greek ‘agape’ is to love with Christ’s self-sacrificial love, even to death. Husbands are commanded to ‘be satisfied with their wives ; to let their fountain be blessed; to rejoice with the wife of their youth; as a loving deer and graceful doe; to let her breasts satisfy him at all times ( abhorring the immodest,  alluring media ) and always be enraptured with her love.’ (Proverbs 5:18,19)

The Lord planned that the godly wife fulfil her husband‘s deepest longing.

The husband shall ‘Dwell with them with understanding He should appreciate her womanliness; giving honour to the wife as to the physically weaker vessel, remembering how the Creator designed her; and as being heirs together of the grace of life, jointly inheriting His riches; that their prayers should not be hindered; such is the foundation of a beautiful relationship, with unhindered  prayer. ‘ (1Peter 3:7)

God originally purposed ‘It is not good that man should be alone.  I will make him a help comparable to him. (Genesis 2:18)  ‘Wives are commanded to ‘Submit to your own husband, as to the Lord.’ (Ephesians 5:22) Not in grovelling helplessness. Rather, her  life and ministry is laid out as a beautiful dining table with design, beauty, fragrance, crockery, crystal, cutlery, choice flowers, candlelight, and linen. All are displayed to honour and enrich her husband and family.

Paul added, ‘Let the wife see that she respects her husband.’ (v33)

The Amplified Bible expands this, ‘ Let her reverence her husband, that she notices him, regards him, honours him, prefers him. venerates him and esteems him; that she defers to him, praises him, and loves and admires him exceedingly.’

This is a beautiful woman’s esteem for her dear husband.

Moses restricted the clothing of man and womanhood, ‘A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.’  (Deuteronomy 22;5 )

The clothing of the sexes, which varies in every culture, was ordained of the eternal One, to meet God’s approval- and limit man‘s confusion: lest our generation flaunt God’s will in their dress.

Remarkably, Peter paints an astonishing picture of the godly wife, especially with the  cross-suffering and lack of reviling of our Lord Jesus in the preceding second chapter, ‘Likewise, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands; that they observe your chaste conduct, accompanied by fear; not letting your beauty be that outward adorning of arranging the hair ( preferring inner beauty ); of wearing gold ( the currency of earth ) ; of putting on fine apparel ( neglecting the fine linen of saints ) ; rather, let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible ornament of a gentle, and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.’

Formerly, holy women who trusted in God adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands. As Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him Lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror. (1 Peter 3:1-6)

Only the Holy Spirit could transform the blustering Peter to write sensitively of holy womanhood and true manhood.   His home life must have been heavenly.

WOMANHOOD DESIGNED FOR PREGNANCY

Obviously, God reserved pregnancy for womanhood, while her husband observes and encourages his beloved. The cessation of menstrual periods, varying degree of morning sickness, need of increased rest, enlargement of breasts, discolouration of the areola of the nipples, the exciting quickening or movement of the babe from the 18th week onward ( every mother-to-be describes this in her own way), the regular visits to the obstetrician, addition of up to 10 kilograms weight, the tell-tale stretch abdominal marks, often sleepless nights; then the onset of labour. Female domain.

When the babe is delivered, the relieved mother feels and counts the fingers and toes, observes the likeness to her husband ,who mostly dissolves in tears.

Where I had delivered the babe, I requested prayer so that I might thank the Father for His creative wonder: and for guarding the mother and babe during labour.

No father or mother denied me that delight. Both wept, cuddling their new-born.

Sheltering the developing babe in the womb educated the mother in caring for her child , and preparing her for later development.  God tutors the mother for this unique ministry, which continues throughout the entire life.  Her four-hourly feeds , nursing the little child, allow her to express the motherly instincts.  She adjusts to the changes in the child through infancy and later years, evidencing her womanly concern. The mother teaches the language, carefully, precisely correcting the little child- hence the appropriate term ‘the mother tongue’; never  the ‘father tongue.‘

My dear wife of 83 years prays discerningly daily for each of our children, and our seventeen grandchildren; and mounting number of great grand children.    I marvel as she embraces  her family in understanding, compassionate prayer.

Proverbs 31 is an appreciation of the diverse ministries of womanhood.

Gwenda Steward illustrated this in her article, ‘WHAT IS A MOTHER ?’

‘First-aid nurse; plumber; painter; book-keeper; laundress; dressmaker; gardener; teacher; physical fitness instructor; chief comforter; chauffer; music teacher; hostess; secretary; craft teacher; historian ( especially with family birthdays); diplomat; beautician; child psychologist; mechanic; carpenter; economist; cook; hairdresser; sex consultant; referee; dietician; librarian; cleaner; housekeeper; home decorator; artist; garbage collector; artist; photographer; theologian; spiritual adviser; primary producer of milk ( supplying 44 gallon ( 200 litres ) of milk during 9 months of breast feeding.

Gwenda thanked God for the enriching, interesting, challenging fulfilment of motherhood.’ I praised the Lord for the milk-stimulating hormone, prolactin, which the great Creator released a few days after each child was born..

God designed man to support, encourage, love, provide for his beloved and children.

The father is a role model to his generation; as Elijah was to his successor, Elisha, when he cried,  ‘My father, my father.’ And recall how Christ called His Father, ‘Abba‘, the tender, gentle One, so must fathers plead with their children. As the Lord is ‘the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, so must we fathers show understanding to our precious children. We fathers are accountable to GOD.

Furthermore, we must not provoke (irritate or agitate ) our children to wrath,’ as in Ephesians 6:4 . Our fatherly attitude  convinces our children;  as God says in Hebrews 1:5, ‘I will be a Father to him.’ Fathers require a deep, oneness such as when  ‘John described the fellowship with the Father.’ Too, we must love as our Father in heaven does.  ‘What manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called the sons of God.’ ( 1 John 3;1

WHAT MUST WE DO URGENTLY.

Fathers and mothers.  Train your children in the beauty of Christian family life with one man-one woman.  Display in your home the fragrance of Christ in your union.

Young couples awaiting marriage.  Conduct yourselves with all purity.  Joyfully anticipate the richness of a ’Love must wait’ betrothal into the overriding joy of consummation.   Christ will keep you - for He has planned to bless you.

Pastors, bible teachers, theologians.  Teach the foundation truths from Genesis to Revelation.  Warn of God’s obliterating scourge of Sodom and Gomorrah for same-sex substitute for true marriage. God eternalises and cherishes His standards.

Medical advisers, counsellors, psychologists. Advise, teach, counsel, direct to the God-given standards and virtues, which will enrich our people and bless our homes.

God appointed and blessed the union of one man-one woman in a healthy, married setting.  Warn how God condemned and cursed the alliance of 2 men or 2 women in union. fragmenting their personal lives, heart, soul mind and body.

Statesmen, legislators, politicians,  Legislate to preserve our beloved nation from spiritual terrorism, more lethal and destabilizing that any devilish device.

God gave the home to safeguard our nation: and nurture our beloved children

David in Psalm 139 captured the mysterious development of the embryo, saying:

‘You have formed my inward parts;

You have covered me in my mother’s womb;

I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Marvellous are Your works,

And that my soul knows full well,

My frame was not hidden from You; when I was made in secret,

And skilfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. (in process of development)

And in your book ( code or formula- a reference to the DNA ) they were all written,

The days fashioned for me,

When as yet there were none of them.’

The Holy Spirit revealed to David details, confirmed scientifically 3,000 years on.

GOD IS ARCHITECT AND BUILDER OF MAN AND WOMAN.   PRAISE HIM.
