ALL HOPE GONE, SLAVERY PLANNED UNTIL RESCUED.

Two USA former Korean journalists had slipped over the Chinese-North Korean border seeking information of the desperate plight of the local citizens.     When captured, they were imprisoned, losing all contact with their loved ones.     Dear ones in USA pleaded with authorities for their release- to no avail.     The world waited for news.     And hope of release had dissolved.

The offended nation would not negotiate, choosing rather to project missiles into space, threatening nearby nations, South Korea and Japan and possibly USA with a nuclear strike.     No hope for the two girls, one the mother of a fretting young child at home.

When we wandered from God’s holy way, we were similarly lost, as these two girls.

Their future was glum, anticipating being sentenced to a brutal, re-educational program for 12 years.     Many in the States prayed for God to rescue them, despite all human attempts failing.     The leader of this captor nation, worshipped as divine, was failing from malignancy of the pancreas- and hope of his medical restoration had faded.     Spiritually, a malicious leader plans our personal destruction.     All expectation had faded, but God planned to remarkably intervene.

In their prison togs, they were summoned to a great hall, expecting that they were fated to the hard labor camps, without possible review.     However, they were amazed to see their former US President immacuately dressed in the presence of the ailing president.      He greeted them after having spent three hours , pleading for their amnesty and forgiveness.      He apologized for their illegal presence , pleading that Kim Il Song would pardon them.     Complicating the approach, USA and North Korea had broken all diplomatic dealings, so reciprocal activities had ceased.     President Clinton’s luxurious 747 jet contrasted with our beloved Lord Jesus coming from glory , born of the virgin Mary to become our Savior and Liberator.     Our liberating Savior shed His life-blood for our salvation, and acts as our Advocate in heaven He is our Paraclete, called alongside to help.

‘You are free, I have come to liberate you; You are in my custody ’ addressing them by Christian names.     The North Korean head of state has released you so that I may escort you safely home.     While the 747 jets revved, they bowed, weeping with uninhibited joy and undisguised relief , being escorted by their former president.      Free! Unbelievable one hour before with menial slave duties, and all hope gone.      They thanked their God for their new-found freedom.     Now released, unable to retrieve their few personal possessions, they replaced their bundled-up slave possessions with clothing, wisely chosen by loved ones .

Mr. Clinton, their former national president assured them of their well-being , their safety, knowing that every hour the jets would bring them closer to their loved ones, and unchallengeable freedom.      The nation awaited jubilantly for the predictable return of the presidential 747 and the exciting appearance of these two girls.     Their loved ones- husbands, wee child, parents siblings, were all present.     Such hugs, weeping, embraces.     God had answered prayer for many loved ones across an ecstatic nation, rejoicing with the media presentation.

Our sin had enslaved and destined us to an eternal death, separate from our loving God.     We were doomed to failure, and destined to a lifetime of unbearable slavery to the devil.     But some loved ones prayed.     God placed it on the heart of the former president of the nation to do what our Lord had done.     He came from heaven in the form of a babe- (not aboard a luxury 747 Boeing jet), lived a perfect life, revealed the nature of the true and living God for 3½ years, died as our substitute on a cruel cross, rose from the dead in 3 days and then ascended to heaven as our Saviour and Intercessor.     He rescued us, having negotiated with his royal blood for our entire release from a merciless captor, satan.        He escorted us to His heavenly home, not with any human means, but with His resurrection power and glory.      Reconciled.     Forgiven.     Reunited.     Clothed in His righteousness.     SAVED.     My RESCUER is the Lord Jesus Christ.

‘Whoso calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.’    You must call!
